Hello, and welcome to today’s video, the 4 ways to make money in 2022. Number one is you as the EMPLOYEE. The second is you are SELF-EMPLOYED. The third is you are a BUSINESS OWNER. Number 4 is You are an Investor.
Now you may be more than one category of course.

In this video I will be explaining the pro’s and cons of each of these 4 roles so you can evaluate where you are right now according to these 4 cashflow categories and hopefully my conversation will spark some ideas of changes you can start making.
Now this cashflow model was first introduced some 3 – 4 decades ago now by finance educator Robert Kiyosaki. I recommend you get hold of his books Rich Dad Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant to educate yourself further about the best ways to make money so you can create the lifestyle you want and not spend all your days working trying to make ends meet and then get to your last breath and wish you had done things differently.
2022 is definitely time to not have all your eggs in one single basket.
As the saying goes – if you keep doing the same things you will continue to get the same results.
And as Einstein famously said – “If you keep doing the same things and expect different results – this is the definition of insanity!
From my experience changing the way I make money, diversifying my income by building additional income streams is one of the smartest decisions I made back in my 20’s.
And that decision is a big reason I am today retired from corporate career and have time, money and resources to build my passion business here.

The question is: do you have issues when it comes to money? Today I am continuing to talk directly to you about the elephant in the room, the elephant I see for many women entrepreneurs, business owners, executive professionals who are wanting to earn the first or the next 100k plus this year. This is the 3rd video in a 3 part series on “Money Mindset” for Entrepreneurs to knock that elephant out of the way and face our money issues, our scarcity beliefs, our “stuckness” on old out-dated beliefs and actions.
What are the biggest roadblocks I see today? Many entrepreneurs and business owners are stuck and frustrated because they have lumpy inconsistent sales, they lose way too much time and money going down rabbit holes, chasing shiny objects, trying to do it all manually and alone not having the right systems and processes required to urn a sustainable business.
I know I’ve been there, and I have also found solutions so stay with me, I can help you.
So let’s get into it.
The first category of the Cashflow Quadrant, of the 4 ways we can make money is
Employee – this is us when we have a job – a boss and a regular paycheck. We are trading our time for money. Our cashflow depends on our personal active work. 95% of the workforce make money this way.
The upside here is that you get a regular paycheck – whether you produce results or not quite often at least for awhile so it can feel quite secure. The reality though is that your boss can get rid of you at any time. And the second thing is that if you dont turn up you dont get paid. And the 3rd downside is that your boss decides how much you earn – so their is a ceiling to your earning potential. The 4th thing that is showing up in many research studies is that the majority of employees in the workforce do not get meaning and purpose in their roles – and they are voting with their feet and leaving those roles because they want to achieve more meaning and purpose through their work.
The second category is that of being SELF-EMPLOYED – THIS MEANS YOU OWN A JOB.
THINK OF coaches, consultant, perhaps a specialist practitioner like lawyers, doctors, accountants, builders etc,
You are still trading your time for money – and if something happens to your hands for instance for builders or surgeons, you cannot work and you lose your income.
So whilst you have greater earning potential because you set your own rates, you are limited by how many hours per day you can work when you are self-employed. And what happens when you go on holiday? Your income stops when you stop. YOu still do not have any leveraged income when you are self-employed.
These 2 categories – the EMPLOYEE and the SELF-EMPLOYED make up 95% of the working population. We have been trained and conditioned into these roles – as this is the way our parents, grand parents and fore-fathers before them all made money.
And yet the biggest risk with this choice of career is that it provides no LEVERAGE – by this i mean – the risk is all on us as the income generator – when we stop working our income stops. So this creates a huge dependency – OURSELVES.
This right hand side of the quadrant offers us some alternate routes that overcome this gap and give us the potential to leverage our time and skills and create leveraged and residual income. This is where the wealth creation opportunities sit.
The third category is the Business Owner.
As a business owner you have employees working for you so your income is not fully dependant purely on your time. Its the employees making money for you in your business.
As a successful business owner you OWN A SYSTEM
Successful business owners have more potential to create wealth than employees or self-employed solopreneurs.
The 4th quadrant is where the leverage and residual income potential sit.
Here you OWN INVESTMENTS.
Your income does not depend on you turning up to work.
Your money works for you.
Your money makes more money for you – this is leverage. This is residual income. This is what creates life-changeing generational wealth.
These investments might be owning profitable businesses, or property or shares or now the new world of Cryptocurrency. Or maybe you have built a thriving community, your own network of loyal product users and associates who are also growing their distribution business within your organisation.
This 4th quadrant, the Investor category is the only category that really gives you time freedom!
ANd isn’t that what many of us crave? The freedom to choose what you do whenever you want to do it. And not have to check your bank balance every time you want to buy something! Imagine what that would feel like!
It is this right hand side of the quadrant where true wealth, life changing wealth, generational wealth can be created – indeed 95% of the wealth creation in the world is created by either business owners and/or investors.
I am showing you here the difference between linear income and leveraged and residual income.

There is more to business success than mindset. But without a strong, steady mindset about your earning capacity, and finances, you will struggle to make money with no matter whether you’ve been in business for three months or 30 years. So today I’m talking about the three core things you must have in place. What are these magical three C’s to make those six and seven figures? What are those three C’s that the successful six and seven figure earners have and demonstrate that helps them get those results?

After coaching hundreds of clients now, and looking at what it is that those big income earners have, these are the three elements, all of the six figure and seven figure earners that I know demonstrate these three C’s in spades. So even if you dismiss the results of my clients, you would be hard pressed to find any highly successful high performing female entrepreneur or corporate executive, anywhere in business in any field who does not demonstrate these three C’s.

Number one C is Commitment. You have to be absolutely 100% committed to doing what it takes right now to reach your revenue goals so you can earn those six and seven figures a year. But 90% of people either don’t take enough of the right income producing actions consistently enough, or they quit too early along the way. And there’s going to be setbacks, there’s going to be frustrations, there’s going to be times when it does feel hard. But success in business in your own business requires us to struggle. This is simply a non negotiable, I’m afraid. But there are easier ways to get through it. And this is also why building your own business, trying to be self generating in terms of making your own money doing what you love, takes courage and endurance. It’s definitely a marathon, not a sprint. I have seen way too many passionate business owners say that they want it. And they claim that they’re serious. And there’s countless others who talk about their big plans to earn the $100k plus per year. But in reality, only a small fraction of us actually have the commitment and stay committed long enough to make it happen and see things through. That’s just how life is. But you can make sure that you are one of those who makes it by staying in the game.

So what’s number two, so the first C’s commitment.

The second C is Clarity. And this is the one that rings loud and clear through every successful six and seven figure earner I know. This is the Clarity that refers to where you want to go, and how you’re going to get there. This is what it takes to get results. Think of it like a roadmap or a recipe or a game plan or a blueprint, whichever word or metaphor you relate to.

So step number one is to create ate the roadmap.

And step number two is to take the steps along that road. And this is why you need an easy to follow plan if you want to get from point A, which is where you are at your current state to point B where you are earning and crushing those revenue goals you’ve set for yourself. In fact, one of the reasons that many entrepreneurs and women in business fail is by spending days or weeks, months or even years searching, clicking, consuming content courses and reading every book and blog and and video. Multiple podcasts getting conflicting advice from well meaning advisors coaches and mentors who are full of great experience and words, of course. But if they don’t have skin in the game in your business, then take that into account. And when you are facing confusion at what or who to follow, it means you don’t have your own clear path.

Now time, my friends is our most precious asset. And indeed, it is the only non renewable energy, when we spend it, we do not ever get it back. And we believe that every moment that you invest towards realizing your revenue goals should be spent making progress. And knowing exactly what you should be doing next, and how to do it. That is, what a good coach and a good road map gives you.

Number three, what’s the third element that successful people have and that is Confidence. This is where rubber meets the road. This third essential element that virtually everyone must have in place. If you really want to increase your revenue and make those revenue goals happen and earn the six and seven figures per year or per month. Confidence, not just confidence in your ability to deliver. In fact, it’s totally okay to start your business while still questioning your Confidence because that will come. Your results are going to give you Confidence. But you must have 100% Confidence in the fact that you are getting the support, the right support, the coaching, the mentorship from a trusted expert, who has the experience, and the leadership skills and the roadmap to partner with you to help you get unstuck and keep you moving in the right direction until you achieve your goals. That’s what successful partnership with your coach looks like. And know this, you will get stuck you will get stuck and frustrated often. But if you have Commitment, you have motivation. You have all this and a super clear path or roadmap to follow. You also need complete Confidence in who you choose to work with. This is why the success rates for courses and information products is so low. You can sit through endless hours of training and lectures and videos and podcasts on how to reach your revenue goals. But it’s where the rubber hits the road is when you work side by side by a trusted mentor who can truly 10x your odds of success.

Here are four powerful questions that are going to help.

1. On a scale of one to 10 where zero is self doubt and 10 is self-confidence, what number do you self-rate yourself right now in terms of your confidence level of being unstoppable and seeing yourself earning that six or seven figure income revenue goal on that scale of zero to 10. Write down that number. And there’s no shame where it might be a two, if you’re really struggling or it might be an eight if you’re really clear. Put that number down. And when you think about your income goal, and seeing yourself on top of that mountain, achieving that number. Maybe it’s 10k a month or 20k a month or 200k What’s your confidence level right now in achieving that doing what you’re doing?

2.If you were to stay at your current income level, what is the cost to you for that? What is the cost for you to not increase your income to make 10k or 20k or 200k per month, consistently sustainably?

3.What are the things that you’re spending money on trying to fix this already? That’s not working right now? What are you spending in reality to try to get that income goal happening? And how are you feeling mentally, emotionally, financially, that not having that income and the roadmap to get that income happening? Be honest.

4. What might be possible now if you implemented a solution that takes you to that mountain top, that takes you to that income goal? And even if you would a move up that scale, just two points towards getting your 10k 20k 200k Each and every month. Imagine achieving that just for a moment. How are you feeling now emotionally, and mentally, as you see yourself reaching that goal? And what would be possible for you when you have that income?

MONEY: How much do you want to make this year? How much are you actually earning? How much are you putting into your bank account?
How are you making money this year?
Are you earning exactly what you want?
Can you see what you will do differently this year to make it really happen this time?
Money issues start with our beliefs about money and our ability to earn it.
In this article I will give you the top 5 keys that you can implement straight away to reset your mindset for success with money.
The fact is this: If you want to have more impact in the world through your business – you must continue to develop to become the leader with more impact.
Lumpy inconsistent sales and not enough leads and therefore not enough sales conversations or conversions to customers are the 3 big issues that kill business owners, entrepreneurs and career executive professionals with a side-hustle – and this is one of the big reasons people quit.
If the money does not come in from Sales fast enough and often enough – and you don’t have a patreon or investors giving you money or a partner who covers your expenses – eventually the business bank account dries up – or worse still – goes into a spiralling debt…often taking your self-esteem down with it.

There is more to business success than mindset – but without a strong steady mindset about your earning capacity and finances, you will struggle to make money – no matter whether you have been in business for 3 months or 30 years.
Your mindset, that is your beliefs, your attitudes, your standards and expectations tell you and the world WHO you are, how you want to be treated and how your work translates into money – in other words how your “Value” translates into income.

So the problem with many a woman entrepreneur is our default of selling ourselves short. By this I mean we see what boxes we DO NOT tick in the job ad, and we see the skills or results we DO NOT quite have yet. This often leads to self-doubt. We find it difficult to justify the hourly rate or program price we are asking for so we stumble over our words or fail to hold eye contact as equals with hiring managers and potential clients.

I find that entrepreneurs are creative and passionate about the change they seek to make, the vision for the impact they want their product to have, all the “help” they want to give their clients – this is especially true for therapists, coaches and wellness practitioners ….but when it comes to money, to pricing, to linking $ to their product, this is often not naturally in their wheel-house, and so it becomes quite a stressful task.
We must be clear and strong about our value and ability to deliver transformation. This begins with our money mindset.
Remember this: A confused mind does not buy. (And the confusion and the buying starts with you buying from you!)
Our brain loves structure – so give it what it wants! And make it easy as possible for the client to say yes! (Starting with you being the client for you! After all if you do not believe in you and want to buy from you, why would anyone else?)

The Top 3 Ways to Overcome Pricing Objections
Objections are opportunities for further conversation. There are ways to handle them that result in win-win outcomes for both the business owner and the client. When we lead the client through a structured conversation these objections become reasons to buy.
So now on to this very popular objection and how to minimize it: “It’s too expensive. Or I’ll think about it and get back to you.”
Remember this: a confused mind does not buy. Our brain loves structure. So give it what it wants. And make it easy as possible for the client to say, yes.
Here is a three step formula to guide you.
1. Reframe what they are doing right now, and how much they are spending on those activities and products that are not helping them progress enough. And if they hadn’t sorted, they wouldn’t be here talking to you.
2. The second thing to ask them is to say: “Tell me more….”. We use this to open up the conversation and have your client talk more about what they are comparing your price to. So tell me more about what exactly you are comparing this price too. When you say it’s too expensive. Tell me more is a magic question. And then be silent and let them talk, let them share what’s on their heart. Listen, listen for what’s behind the words, listen for their unmet needs, for their limiting beliefs, because these limiting beliefs, and they are masking their fears of saying yes to investing in themselves. It’s not your price. It’s the difference of their sense of value and belief in them delivering.
3. And the third thing is to level with them. Say, I really don’t want to take your money or waste our time, if you don’t think it’s going to work. That would just be painful for you. And for me. So I’m certainly not here to railroad you into this. This is not a get rich quick scheme, or an overnight success program. I do not promise that I only want clients who are committed and ready right now to solve this problem, and that they’re coachable. You have to be motivated to make your goal happen. You bring the goal, you bring the motivation, and also the motivation to solve the stuff that’s sitting between you and your mountaintop.
I can help you get there. I know I can. But the only way this will work for both of us is if you are committed to making it work to then give them space and time to respond. This is likely when the barriers will come down. And their real fears and objections will come out. You’ll hear things like I do want to do this, but I’m scared. I’m scared I’ll fail. I’ve invested before and didn’t stick it out. It didn’t work for me. It wasn’t what I thought it would be. Give them space, acknowledge some more turn around and start challenging themselves as they share. And that’ll be it start to say, let’s do this. Because if they don’t believe in themselves, and they don’t get the feeling from you, that you have the goods to solve their problem, and to lead them through the journey, then you will be stuck with that. “It’s too expensive. I need to think about it. I need more time.” Because when they reconsider the costs they’re already spending when they do the math slip say if your course is $5,000 and they’re already spending in the order of $5K on coaches on programs on different things to try to resolve their blocks and gaps. And they know they can transfer that investment to you and your program, it then is a no brainer. They need to see that. And they will see that if you’ve helped them see that if you’ve engaged in this conversation and lead them on this path, and you’ve done that with the confidence and tonality that says I can help you.

When they can see that transfer of cost from one bucket to your bucket, it’s so much make so much more logic sense for them to say yes, but they need to see that you can help them. Now on the flip side of this, if we do not connect with where our client is at, and help them take that journey with us, and show them how our offer gets them to the outcome they want, overcomes the problem they want to solve, then there will be negative consequences. This is where you hear or think about it, or Wow, looks amazing. I’ll have to think about it, I have to process it. And I’ll get back to you.

So I promised you as well as the five practical things there are three beliefs to internalize. And this is one of those beliefs the affirmation I internalize I get energized every time I focus on that it takes me into solutions as opposed to problems. So what are the other two beliefs then when you can internalize and own and embed.
So the three vital beliefs that help create confidence and competency to hold your ground on price and value. And these are:
1. I am worthy
2. I am enough.
3. I am finding a way, there is always a way. And I am finding that way now.
When you think about the results you want to create. And if you are serious about generating revenues in the order of 100k. Beyond or perhaps your next 100k This only becomes possible when you enroll enough of your ideal clients and make more sales. If you are nodding away and feeling something shift and stir within you, and you want your client numbers and your deal size to increase and see your sales revenue, start to climb and get more consistent. Get that 10k 20k months happening earn those six and seven figures a year, it’s definitely doable. When we do enough of the right things in the right order, work with the right coaches and believe we can do it. This is what takes away the frustration of the lumpy inconsistent sales, the wasted time and money going down those rabbit holes chasing shiny objects, trying to do it all yourselves not having the right systems and processes in place. I get it there is a lot to do. No skirting around the edges there. But there are more effective ways of working.

Set Your Pricing Mindset for Success
In this video, today, I’m going to cover the three beliefs that help us stay firm, and confident when we’re challenged on price. And so we can produce those Win Win outcomes. These are:
1. Autonomy
2. Relatedness
3. Competency
Welcome to the Entrepreneur Mindset series, Part Eight. I know what I want to sell. And I know so many people who need this. Now, the big question is, how do I determine the right price for my product for my program, a price that my clients will pay. And that still gives my business the revenue and profit it needs? What is that price point that just right, not too high, not too low price point for my product. We know that lumpy, inconsistent sales, not enough leads, and therefore not enough quality sales conversations are the bane of most coaches, consultants, entrepreneurs, lives, particularly early or mid stage entrepreneurs, and career executives who are working that side hustle. Now three of the big questions that we work through in my sales accelerator formula pertain exactly to this topic, what is the right price for my product? How do I put $1 value on the result, the transformation that my product gives? And then there’s the internal questions that are not always so obvious, or top of mind. But if you are lacking confidence and boldness, about stamping your mark, and your price on your deliverable on your product, then chances are you actually asking yourself, Am I worthy of this? Am I enough? Do I deserve to ask for this amount? These three questions come up all the time. And indeed, when we don’t figure out exactly how to price and how to sell the value. The investment that we’re asking our clients to make, do not speak with authority and a tone that conveys. I’ve got this. I know where I’m going and I know my product can help you. We lose way too many clients to the excuse that happens. It’s too expensive. I can’t afford it. Or oh, that sounds great. Let me think about it, or versions there off. Does this sound familiar? In today’s video, I’m going to give you some tips to turn this around, both on a practical level in terms of how you determine your pricing and how you speak about it. And then mentally, internally in terms of what you can think and believe to empower yourself in these pricing decisions and discussions. Because poor outcomes from pricing discussions during the sales conversation is one of the biggest stumbling blocks that actually causes too many women entrepreneurs to quit their businesses before their business has a chance to shine has a chance to flourish. And that is a tragedy. So let’s not let that happen for you. This is a really common problem, you are definitely not alone when it comes to determining what the price should be and how to talk about that. Now, if you don’t find enough clients fast enough and make enough sales fast enough, those old fears and doubts start to cloud, our excitement and our inspiration. And suddenly we start wondering am I good enough?
Am I worthy? Somehow selling the promise of transformation suddenly feels and looks too hard. That mountain looks too high and too hard to scale. Now, if you were selling information products of online courses, or programs, or memberships, or subscriptions or coaching programs consulting, we’ve been in business for a few months or a few years already, and you’re struggling to sell your products struggling to get the value proposition right. Then I suspect you really get where I’m coming from right now. So how do we price our products to reflect the value? We Believe it has we know it has we’ve seen the results we’ve produced for other people. And make sure that we have enough margin factored in to cover our basic costs of keeping the lights on keeping the business running, and give ourselves a profit margin as well. This aspect is often overlooked the running costs aspect, especially when we’re selling services or online products that don’t look like they’ve had a huge cost to actually develop. It’s not like it’s something you’ve manufactured, where you’ve had to buy a bunch of spare parts, or a building you’ve had to make where you’ve got lots of labourers and new materials and new physical products with physical components that are more obvious to factor into the pricing. So when we’re pricing our services and programs, online programs, it is different, it’s just as important to work out your value proposition and how to price it right. In this video, today, I’m going to cover the five things we must do to set the right price. And also the three beliefs the three things that help us stay firm, and confident when we’re challenged on price. And so we can produce those Win Win outcomes. And these are very relevant to our pricing decision discussions. And as I discussed in that video last week, the all important self determination theory of the Big Three things, or the three big things that influence our levels of psychological well being, motivation and performance are

This is important because when we meet these three needs, within ourselves, we think and feel at our best. So when it comes to doing tasks that are difficult, complex, perhaps not in our natural wheelhouse typically, then it’s important that we take care of our needs regarding motivation. And as entrepreneurs and creatives are passionate about the change they seek to make and the vision for the impact of what they want, and what they see their product doing. All the help they want to give their clients. This is especially true for therapists and coaches and wellness practitioners and people in the helping and healing professions. But when it comes to money, when it comes to pricing, until linking money and pricing to the product or service they deliver this is not naturally in their will wheelhouse often. And so it becomes quite a stressful task, all this pricing and money business. Now the human need for competency, that feeling of Yes, I think I can see myself achieving success at this is vitally important when it comes to pricing your products and services. So it is vital to your success that you develop the beliefs and the skills to have effective pricing discussions. The two core aspect that build our sense of confidence in achieving success are self belief as the biggest internal factor, and it’s also known as competency. So it’s the third factor in the self determination theory. And the second thing is the belief in your product to produce the promised result, the transformation, the external representation of our internal self belief about our self and what our product does. People buy solutions to their pain. People buy transformation, and they buy it from someone They believe has the skills and the experience and the evidence to produce the promised result. They look for evidence that supports their belief. This evidence comes from one what you say to how you say it. So tonality, very important. And three, what others say about you and your program. And this is where your customer testimonies are really important. And I find this interesting too, that they do not pay more just because your program is long and complicated. They really do not buy time they buy results, they buy speed to result and they will often value a solution that gets them that beep result faster and more effectively, as opposed to a long term commitment that spans you know, 12 months or longer.

And, and fall backwards back into that exhaustion and, and stress and anxiety in those old patterns, you will fall back less. And when you do fall back, you’re going to be able to get out faster. That’s the promise of really embodying your own leader identity. And this is key to everything.

The 5 Step Value-based Pricing Formula
Learn about a powerful pricing formula that creates a higher profit margins and higher value proposition than cost plus margin models. This is value based pricing. This means pricing your product on the perceived value rather than cost plus profit margin, and definitely not on an hourly rate. There are five factors to consider when setting your value based pricing. One is that you must do your market research of competitive pricing for similar offerings. You must determine your added value and your point of difference to those competitors. Read the full transcript or watch the video for the 4 other factors.
Today, I will give you a trusted framework that’s going to help you to structure the pricing conversation. So that it makes logical and straightforward sense for both you and your potential client. Remember, this, a confused mind does not buy our brain love structure. So give it what it wants.
I remember this, a confused mind does not buy, our brain loves structure. So give it what it wants. And make it as easy as possible for the client to say yes. And when we speak with confidence in a tone that says, I know what I’m doing. I know my product works, I know it will give you what you need. I know I have what you need, that will work for you. This conveys a feeling of competency or self belief, both in yourself as the guide and in the quality of your product. So you can see how your belief Your mindset is key.
So competency, what we mean by competency is the need for self efficacy, self belief, belief in self, belief that we can achieve and work effectively in the thing we are doing. So in this case, your language, your words, how you structure, your pricing, how you deliver that pricing, the value you offer, how you express the what’s in it for me, for your client, it must evoke this same feeling of competency in your client or your audience that says yes, I see myself doing this, I see myself succeeding at it, I see you as the best person to help me get there. Now on the flip side of this, if we do not connect with where our client is at, and help them take that journey with us, and show them how our offer gets them to the outcome they want overcomes the problem they want to solve, then there will be negative consequences. This is where you hear or think about it, or wow looks amazing. I’ll have to think about it or have to process it. And I’ll get back to you. If your potential client is not feeling like they can do it. If they do not see themselves in the picture, and succeeding in that picture with you as their guide, it means their belief in themselves has not shifted enough or at all, as a result of their communication and their interaction with you in the sales and pricing conversation.
The price becomes far less significant, once they mentally and emotionally buy in to working with you. So a lot of this is about feeling and energy. Though I’ve talked about the mindset of your client, and of your mindset and how your role in the pricing conversation in instills a sense of like trust and respect in your client. What does this take? What does this mean? It means you must be all in with your belief and excitement about your product and the transformation it’s going to make for your client and about your ability to create a transformation through your product. And here’s an experience I had myself with my hairdressers. I thought after lockdown, I wanted to save some money and try out a different hairdresser. And I literally went down the road and I found someone and this hairdresser literally was 1/10 of the price I used to pay. But what was the result? There was nowhere near the attention to detail or the finesse I was used to. And so yes, I saved a little bit of money. But what was my level of joy and happiness with the result? How did I I weigh that up in terms of value. And you know what, I actually chose to go back to my original hairdresser, pay the full feel and feel joy and gratitude to pay the full fee. Because I get the detail and the style and the finesse, and the VIP treatment experience I get there is so much more value to me than an extra couple $100. So I would not put up with a substandard cut in order to save money. So this is how I made a value based decision. And when it comes to professional development, coaching, consulting, there is no one size fits all. And there’s definitely not one price point there are different tiers of value different market segments to take into account, for sure. So how do we do this? How do you decide on your price then, for coaching and consulting, I do not advise hourly rates or session prices. Because this puts you in the same category as therapists and other healing perfect professionals. And typically, this is lower than business consulting in coaching or leadership or sales coaching. The alternative formula I like to work with that creates a higher profit margins and higher value proposition and this is value based pricing. And this is pricing your product on the perceived value rather than cost plus profit margin, and definitely not on an hourly rate. Now there’s five factors to consider when setting your value based pricing. One, you must do your market research of competitive pricing for similar offerings to you must determine your added value and your point of difference to those competitors. Three, do your market research have real conversations with your ideal potential clients to assess what represents value to them? What will they pay, or are they paying for like services, and market research conversations with your ideal client also to determine the actual costs they are currently paying to try to overcome the problem that you’re solving. So whether that be other types of services and activities they’re doing. The fifth is what is the actual cost of running your business each and every month. Let’s say this is $10,000 a month and you need to factor this into your pricing. So if your product is 5k, and if your cost is two is 10k a month, you need two sales a month just to keep the lights on. If it’s 5k, you need two of those. So when you work the business numbers like this and you look at the reality of cost to maintain it maintain your business, it helps you maintain your posture and your firmness it when you’re negotiating when you’re being challenged on price. So when you look at your business numbers like these, it really does help you to maintain your posture and your tone when your price point is challenged. Now, as a side note, whether you charge 2k or 20k, you are likely to be challenged on price. So don’t think by dropping your price you won’t be challenged, you are always challenged. Now, if your product promise guarantees, a tangible result, like take my program and your income will increase tenfold in three months. If you can guarantee that this, then this becomes a discussion point that shows exactly how your 5k product investment earns them their money back tenfold in that timeframe. This makes it so much easier to sell the perceived value, then the moot point is does your client have the self belief to deliver on their end of the bargain? Because when the numbers are so obvious, it’s not about the numbers anymore, it’s about the self belief and in their belief in themselves to implement the program to make it happen. And this, my friends is usually the real reason that clients don’t go ahead or back out of sales commitments.
It’s not about your price. It’s about their self belief. And I know because I have done that myself with numerous coaches, consultants and programs. In fact, this is the basis of my experience that I have developed this program, the sales accelerator program that addresses some of these core issues that are often just Not not dealt with not not handled, and well enough in a lot of programs. In fact, it’s my experience with investing in things and not following through or not finding that my needs were absolutely met as I thought they would be, would be in various programs to plug these holes, these exact holes around the nuances of pricing that and I see that we lose so many talented, professional, creative entrepreneurs, because the devil is in the detail. And it certainly is true when it comes to sales and pricing conversations. So in summary, then, when you are deciding on your program price, then these five things will help one talk to potential ideal clients about what they would pay to get the result that you offer to solve the problem. They have to talk to your potential clients also about the actual current cost of things they are spending, what are they spending on? And how much are they spending to try to overcome their problem right now? Third thing, what are your competitors charging? And what is their business model and their product offerings? And what are the what is the difference in the value add that you give? And what is your tangible result? Can you put $1 value on what your program delivers? What things are you spending that money on trying to fix this problem that is standing in the way between you and your revenue goals and that are not really moving you forward fast enough? How much pain are you feeling mentally, emotionally? and financially by not having a pricing strategy and structure and confidence in how you have those pricing conversations.
Third question, what might be possible for you, if you did implement a solution that works that moves you up that scale by even just two points in terms of your confidence in your pricing strategy and having pricing decisions? What if that could bring you closer to 10k a month and every month for status? Imagine that for a moment that even a two point increase in your confidence and skill level would get you that income? How is this affecting you emotionally and mentally? It is absolutely possible if you work with me.
